Coastal Region, South AfricaFrom cooler coastal vineyards in Tygerberg Hills and Stellenbosch, this chenin had 4 hours skin contact before an overnight settling and fermentation in primarily 300L and 400L French oak barrels (70%) where it rested for 6 months. White peach and lemon curd are seasoned with wood spice, but lit from within by a breezy fresh acidity, which helps counter the woodiness. The finish ends with a bitter lemon twist.
