Mt. Boucherie Summit Red 2020
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaSummit is a premium barrel aged red blend crafted by winemaker Jeff Hundermark from select blocks of vines at Lost Horn Vineyard, Okanagan Falls, South Rock Vineyard, Golden Mile Bench, and Lazy River Vineyard in South Cawston, Similkameen Valley. In 2020, an excellent vintage, the blend consisted of 65% merlot, 15% cabernet sauvignon, 10% cabernet franc, and 10% malbec. Dropping the carmenere and syrah used in 2019 has added additional refinement. It still delivers a rich nose and palate of blackcurrant and blackberry, but with greater balance. Drink now or cellar through 2028 and beyond.
