Terravista Albariño 2023

Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaUnder the previous owners and founders, Bob and Senka Tennant, Albariño was planted in BC in the late 2000s on a sloping, rocky property on Naramata Bench. They were the first winery to sell this Galician grape commercially in Canada. In 2023 this primarily comes off Terravista's estate Lone Hand Ranch, with a small amount from their new Naramata Outlook Vineyard, 1km away. It was picked and inoculated with 2 separate yeasts, whole cluster pressed, and fermented in stainless until dry. Tight and pithy, with white grapefruit, green apple, lemon pith streaking along the sleek, tensile palate, kissed with anise and crushed stones, and leaving ample lingering salinity in its wake. There's lovely layering here, bringing more to each sip in the wine's progression. One to enjoy throughout the evening.Tasted: 01 July 2025Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
