East Kelowna Slopes, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFruit from this BC classic chardonnay brut comes off a single block of 2013 plantings, and was fermented in older puncheons for 7 months prior to heading to bottle for 22 months sur lattes. This bottle was disgorged in February 2025 with a low dosage (built from 2022 Chardonnay), leaving it around 5 g/L. Pouring a glowing deep yellow hue, this savoury sparkler streams crushed stones, deep lemon, green apple along the buzzy, energetic palate, with a cushy lees core finishing with a kiss of smoked stones. Not shy, this confident BdB commands attention, and deserves it.
