Buin, Valle del Maipo, Region del Valle Central, ChileThe blend is primarily cabernet sauvignon, with a touch of petit verdot and cabernet franc, all grown at the renowned Alto Jahuel Estate. The main soils are old alluvial terraces and younger colluvial soils on the slopes. The palate is a herbal mix of intense red fruits with a lovely savoury boldo undercurrent. It spends up to 14 months in oak, adding a bit of weight and structure to a wine with firm tannins and a touch of spice in the finish.
