East Kelowna Slopes, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Martin's Lane Dehart Vineyard from East Kelowna Slopes represents one of the most refined expressions of pinot noir produced at Martin's Lane, and the fine and generous 2022 vintage shows off its accessibility. The vineyard is positioned westward above Okanagan Lake. Almost all clone 777 with minor portions of clones 667 are co-fermented in concrete tanks, incorporating 70% whole bunches over a month. Winemaker Shane Munn's approach, plus a winery that is six levels high and has zero pumps, ensure a delicate handling of tannins, resulting in a texture driven profile. The result is a red fruited pinot with excellent acidity and silky soft, persistent textures that carry the wine through the finish. A unique quality of light in the vineyard contributes to this wine's exceptional character. Fresh and spicy, it is suitable for immediate consumption but also promises excellent aging potential.
