Mouton Cadet Blanc 2023

Bordeaux, FranceI continue to be impressed by the old brand that has more than reinvented itself in the vineyard and at the winery. Very few wines deliver the concentration and flavours you get here for the price. Cadet Blanc is just over 2/3 sauvignon blanc (the freshness), just under 1/3 sémillon (the roundness and fruit), and about one% muscadelle (the lift and refinement). The Bordelais are the master of the blend, and this is a fine example of what you can do with care at the entry level. Take note, BC. The nose is an attractive green and citrus mix with apricot and a touch of tropical. The acidity is perfect, and the finish is a lovely saline mineral affair. The ideal aperitif white for vegetable maki rolls, or take it to dinner for seafood linguine or freshly shucked West Coast oysters.Tasted: 03 November 2024Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
