Champagne Gosset Grand Millésime Brut 2015

Champagne, FranceFounded in Aÿ in 1584 by Pierre Gosset, Champagne Gosset is the oldest wine house in Champagne. For 17 generations, Gosset was family-owned, but in 1993 it was sold to the Cointreau family from Charente, owners of Frappin Cognac. The 2015 blends 59% pinot noir and 41% chardonnay, with most of the pinot coming off north facing hills. This bottle was disgorged in spring 2022 with 4 g/L. Perfumed raspberry, kirsch, lemon, and patisserie are woven throughout the grippy chalky and chiseled frame. Lovely poise and structure here, drinking very smartly now.Tasted: 20 November 2024Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
