Black Sage Vineyard Cabernet Franc 2021

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaWinemaker Jason Jones characterized 2021 as “a great year for BSV!” The grapes were picked fully ripe in late October, crushed into stainless steel tanks and aged in select French and American oak. It is a savoury, leafy, black and red fruited wine with a richness that belies its warm vineyard site. The textures are soft, with strong notes of baking spices mixed with sweet vanilla and light tannins. Easy sipping for a red at 14.5% alcohol, best served with grilled lamb, venison, duck breast, or sautéed portobello mushrooms.Tasted: 28 November 2024Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
