Van Westen Vineyards Vulture 2021
Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaA so-so vintage with plenty of challenges from heat to wildfire smoke and more across the valley, the Vulture is holding its own. The nose is a mix of blackberries and black cherries, with a firm mid-palate and dry, savoury finish. Earth and minerals tone down the fruit and add complexity to a solid wine. Only 165 cases were made of this Cabernet Franc, aged in French oak barrels for 21 months.
