Van Westen Vineyards Viognier 2023
Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe ’23 has a quiet, almost muted nose upon opening. The palate is much more expressive, with a strong citrus and apricot profile, and a lick of spice in the finish. It‘s fresher than your average viognier, which can be fatter and riper in tone. All the fruit is grown at the north end of the Naramata Bench on Orlando and Granite Ridge vineyards. The result is a very drinkable style that is equally attractive with food. Ready to drink.Tasted: 22 October 2024Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $27.50 | 750ml | winery online/direct, select private retailers |
