Château Pesquié Edition 1912m 2022

Ventoux, Southern Rhone, Rhone Valley, FranceÉdition 1912m honours Mont Ventoux, standing 1912 meters above the sea, and is said to be the last real mountain of the Alps chain, commonly referred to as the Giant of Provence. This is the fifth edition of this label as it continues to find its place in the Pesquié lineup. The style is approachable, a mix of peppery red fruits dusted in the native savoury garrigue grown 300-400 metres above sea level on clay with small amounts of sand. The palate presents supple and juicy with strawberry/black cherry fruits lifted by violets and minerals. The blend is a 70/30 mix of grenache with syrah with traces of cinsault and carignan. The vinification is in stainless and concrete tanks for fifteen days, and none of the wine sees oak. We like it with meaty pizzas, but it will also perform well with charcuterie, meat pies, empanadas or a classic ratatouille.Tasted: 06 October 2024Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
