Lillooet, British Columbia, CanadaDamp earth and cedar mark the nose. The entry is fresh and spicy with peppery wild red and blue fruits, cloves, and graphite. It is a bit raw and unyielding and will need more time in the bottle to harmonize and settle. Beef or pork ribs would be a fine match at the moment. This Lillooet cabernet franc is grown on the home estate, Dry Creek Vineyard. At 13 years of age, the site is coming into its own. 2021 was aged for 15 months in French oak, 55% new and 45% second fill barrels.Tasted: 06 July 2024Tasted by: Prices:

Lillooet, British Columbia, CanadaThis year's Reserve Red goes to Cabernet Franc, and with fruit off their Lillooet estate Dry Creek Vineyard. The destemmed fruit was soaked 3 days, followed by 8 days of maceration and regular pump-overs and punch-downs, before ageing for 15 months in French barrels (55% new). Dark and chewy with dense cassis, dark earth, subtle cedar toast, and dried florals, this is wrapped with toothsome, fine grained tannins, hugging this fuller red to a peppery finish. The density here calls for grilled beef or lamb.Tasted: 01 September 2024Tasted by: Prices:
