Blue Mountain Pinot Noir Single Vineyard Block 9 Wild Terrain 2022
Okanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis comes from varied topography, ranging from steep slopes with southwest exposure, to flat plains planted to 25 year old vines. It's easy to see where the name comes from: this has a wild character to the fruit, ranging from wild raspberry to thorny brambles, with savoury notes of flinty reduction, iodine, earth, and lavender. It's complex and compelling, with the wood firmly in the background. More tightly structured and reserved at this stage than the other single blocks, this will undoubtedly improve over the next 3-5 years. It is a distinctive, cerebral wine, almost unlike any Okanagan pinot, that deserves contemplation.Tasted: 28 September 2024Tasted by: Geoffrey Moss MWPrices:BC | $55.00 | 750ml | winery direct |
