Blue Mountain Alluvium Reflection Chardonnay Single Vineyard Block 32 2022

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaAlluvium Reflection comes from 33 year old vines planted on gravelly soils, with surrounding rocks radiating heat into the evening. To my palate, this falls stylistically between Blossom Slope and the Reserve Cuvée. There's a clear step up in fruit ripeness from Blossom Slope, with a lemon confit and macerated peaches, hazelnut, and a distinct stoniness. I love the tension between the fruit ripeness and minerality, with nervy acidity that gives energy to the long finish. This is Okanagan chardonnay at its best: complex, textured, seamlessly balanced, and beautifully made.Tasted: 28 September 2024Tasted by: Prices:
