Blue Mountain Alluvium Reflection Chardonnay Single Vineyard Block 32 2020

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaPlanted in 1990, Block 32 is referred to as TheFan. The vines look westerly, catching the later morning and afternoon sun while the surrounding rock mass absorbs the heat and throws it back at the vineyard during the night. The gravel soils lend a certain minerality to the wine. This is New World Bourgogne pitching lemon curd, stony, savoury, tropical fruit wrapped in a creamy texture and flecked with hazelnuts. The minerals and lees conspire to create complexity throughout. Very good now and will be even better in three to five years. The grapes were fermented and aged 18 months in new to 3 year old (4th fill) 228L French oak barrels.Tasted: 21 April 2023Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
