Lightning Rock Viognier Pét Nat 2023
Summerland Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFrom Summerhill's Elysia vineyard, this is the last viognier pét-nat from the property. Whole cluster grapes were partially fermented long and cool on stainless before moving to bottle in early October, and staying there until disgorging March 2024. Opening with an abundance of bubbles (do not open over your face), this tart, dry fizz streaks lime pith, white grapefruit, apricot fuzz, white pepper along the slight 10.8% palate, with the aggressive fizz tapering out to a bare blip on the finish.
