Black Stallion Cabernet Sauvignon 2023
North Coast Region, California, United StatesThe North Coast designation allows for a much wider area of grapes to be used in this wine, and it's needed to reach a production quota that makes sense for the price of about $20 in the US. Here in Canada, that price doubles before it leaves retail, so what looks like a real bet in the US is pushing the limits in Canada. It is a solid wine with intense black olive, cassis, dark plum, and blueberries, with a touch of spice and cocoa powder in the finish. It has some California polish and smooth textures, inviting you back to the glass for more. Best with ribs or beef tacos.Tasted: 13 August 2024Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $38.99 | 750ml | select private retailers |
