Black Stallion Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

Napa Valley, California, United StatesNapa cabs have a signature silky texture and a ripe black fruit profile, and the 2021 Black Stallion is no different. It is structurally full bodied with rich black currant and blackberry throughout, and streaks of cedar and licorice for complexity. One minor drawback is the slightly dry tannins that pop up in the finish, adding a touch of bitterness to the final picture. It is still a quality red and fun to sip even now, but in another three years, the tannin will dissipate, and I anticipate the finish will work itself out. A T-bone steak, or lentil soup with quinoa and mushrooms would be a good match for now.Tasted: 13 August 2024Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
