Château Pesquié Cuveé Juliette 2022

Ventoux, Southern Rhone, Rhone Valley, FranceCuvée Juliette Blanc is a 70/30 blend of clairette and grenache blanc, some as old as 50 years, grown in limestone-driven soils with some grey clay. The former is fermented in concrete eggs, and the latter is fermented in 600 litre French oak barrels. The nose and flavour profile are Mediterranean exotic, so look for grapefruit and lemons mixed with ripe pineapple and orange rind with plenty of seaweed iodine and salinity at the finish. The freshness is the perfect foil to its creamy, lightly unctuous textures and savoury garrigue. Rich yet crisp and thirst quenching, this bottle was made for the diner table, creamy seafood dishes, or roasted chicken stuffed with lemons. Juliette is named after Frederick Chaudiere’s 4th generation daughter. Production varies between 4000-5000 bottles from just under one hectare of vineyard.Tasted: 04 July 2024Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
