Black Hills Ipso Facto 2021

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe ’21 Ipso is a 54/46 mix of syrah and cabernet sauvignon that is wild yeast fermented in barrels and aged 18 months in 78% French oak barriques. This classic Australian marriage seems well suited to the south Okanagan, and quickly adds brighter aromatics and more spice than the Down Under version. The attack is rich and powerful but not over the top mixing blue and red fruits (blueberries and plums) that keep it juicy and fluid. The tannins are refined, almost dusty, and the acid is perfect for a long bottle sleep. No need to rush into this before 2026-2027.Tasted: 29 June 2024Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
