I have followed the Yalumba Viognier project since the late 1980s, and with the world's largest Viognier plantings, Yalumba winemaker Louisa Rose has brought the grape to new heights. For the Y Series, she blends fruit from across Southern Australia, with no large tanks involved. Each parcel undergoes native fermentation, capturing the essential aromas and flavours: white floral notes and a fresh, rich middle palate of apricot, pears, and honeysuckle.
