Yalumba The Y Series Viognier 2020
South Australia, AustraliaCredited with reviving and re-introducing a dying-off grape, Yalumba now has the greatest plantings of viognier in the world. This, their standard bearer viognier cuvée, blends fruit from across Southern Australia. Winemaker Heather Fraser keeps the grape's flamboyant tendencies at bay here, leaving a more herbaceous driven model in 2020, with key lime pith, gooseberry, bruised pear, tart kumquat, cold cream, pink florals on a creamy, buttery palate, finishing with a bitter melon note.
