Bartier Bros. Pinot Noir 2022
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Bartier Pinot speaks to you like winemaker Michael Bartier would, with directness and honesty, although you must be a wine club member to buy it. The 97/3 mix of Kamloops pinot noir and oddly Similkameen petit verdot spent 17 months in neutral French oak barrels and stainless, yielding a silky texture and juicy quality that is close to Micheal’s heart. It’s not a knockout wine, but rather a solid everyday pinot you can enjoy any night of the week. Look for a mix of red cherries, earthy underbrush, floral undertones, and a wisp of peppers. Long and smooth on the palate, it would be fine with most pork dishes or grilled wild BC salmon.Tasted: 31 May 2024Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $39.99 | 750ml | winery online/direct, select private retailers, restaurants |
