Mathieu & Camille Lapierre Morgon 2022

Morgon, Beaujolais Villages, Beaujolais, Burgundy, FranceSiblings Mathieu and Camille Lapierre took over the reins of their father Marcel's groundbreaking naturist wines in Beaujolais, carrying on the house's tradition of organic / biodynamic / estate. From 70+ year old vines on sandy decomposed granites, this was native ferment, semi-carbo (no SO2) for up to 3 weeks before aging 9 months in older 216 later barrels. Perfumed plum, iris, tayberry glide through this pretty, medium bodied Morgon, with lofted acidity, and supple tannins to support through the stony, saline finish. Quite complete, in a very pure way, enjoy this natural wine now with a slight chill.Tasted: 09 April 2024Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
