Maison Smith Monpetit Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

Cawston, Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, CanadaMaison Smith Montpetit is located at the heart of the lower Similkameen Valley, Canada’s organic winemaking capital. The vineyard is planted with French and Italian grape varieties: riesling and tempranillo. It is a farm to table, organic, vegan producer focused on minimal intervention and sustainable vineyard and viticultural practices. This is a bright, vibrant floral cabernet sauvignon, with red fruit and spice as opposed to the powerful black fruit Napa Valley style. Owner, president, winemaker, and director Erich Smith-Peter has a focus, and seems intent on reaching the top in the Similkameen. This will need further development, but it is off to a solid start.Tasted: 13 April 2024Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
