Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence, Provence, Sud de France, FranceThe pale Provençal peach pink hue reflects the grenache, syrah, cinsault, and carignan blend grown at one of the most significant domains in AOP Coteaux D'Aix en Provence. Maison Saint Aix dates back 130 years, and its vineyards sit on a plateau that is 420 meters high, escaping the baking summer and fall heat that smothers Provence. This year, there is less red fruit in favour of more peppery herbal, scrubby garrigue, with light stony minerality and some grapefruit bitterness.
