Vieux Bourg Beaujolais Blanc Clos du Vieux Bourg 2022

Beaujolais, Burgundy, FranceWell-known Beaujolais winemaker Dominique Piron sold Domaine du Vieux Bourg, but kept the family vineyards in Corcelles. His 35-hectare family estate dates back to the 16th century. This chardonnay is rooted in the region's calcareous clays, and was fermented and rested in stainless. Green and tight, with tart lemon, green apple, and a sharp, pointed acidity that drives this to a shorter, bitter citrus finish. A bit too steely to be friendly.Tasted: 20 February 2024Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
