Foolish Wine Cunning Chardonnay 2022
Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe 2022 Naramata fruit is impressive, as evidenced by this chardonnay. I love the opening that mixes honey and green apple, rushing across the palate, picking up a touch of oak but not too much. It's dry and structured with more pear and citrus before a light but persistent bitter note kicks in along the finish. It could be a complex-er for the aficionado, or a turn-off for the fruit lover, but to each their own. I can't change that.
