Alentejo, Central and Southern Portugal, PortugalThis fuller Alentejo touriga nacional was native fermented in a mix of stainless and French barrels before resting for a few months in the same. Ripe and dense with baked cherry, sweet raspberry jam, perfumed roses across a muscular, chewy 15% palate, this reminds me of Amarone, with more structure. Tannins are sticky and ample, taking this to a rosemary and baking spice finish.
