Bachelder Patte Rouge Pinot Noir 2021

Four Mile Creek, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, CanadaKnown as Red Paw when it was owned by Coyote's Run, this is the last release of Patte Rouge for Bachelder, after the vineyard was pulled out following a tough winter in 2022. Even at 11.5% abv you feel the warmth of this Four Mile Creek vineyard, with a lifted nose of wild raspberries and brambles accented by rose bush and allspice. It's a pure, complex wine that's distinctive and captivating, carried by fine, supple tannins and a lovely verve and freshness that belies the perceived fruit ripeness. Drinking well now and best enjoyed over the next 2-3 years.Tasted: 15 December 2023Tasted by: Geoffrey Moss MWPrices:
