Amulet Roussanne 2022
Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFrom Naramata Bench's Quail on the Rail vineyard, this roussanne was whole cluster pressed and settled 12 hours before moving to French oak (35% new barriques and the rest neutral puncheons) for a slow fermentation and full MLF. This remained on lees for 9 months with no bâtonnage before heading to bottle unfined and unfiltered. Pouring a deeper yellow hue, this full bodied white rolls across the palate with cascades of perfumed honeysuckle, fragrant peach, ripe apricot, and potpourri spicing. There's a rod of potent lemon verbena giving backbone, and a lovely dusting of white pepper stringing out the finish.
