Produttori del Barbaresco Langhe Nebbiolo 2021

Langhe, Cuneo, Piedmont, ItalyThe Produttori Langhe rosso is made from young vines growing across the DOC. It is fermented in stainless and aged six months in large oak. Its best asset is its aromatic nose and juicy red fruits. The acid could scare some, but with the right food, this wine is a serious player. Then, there is that dry Italian styling that makes it so attractive. Look for violets, cassis, tobacco, intense red and black cherries, and licorice, with firm but round tannins. Thank you, concrete tank fermentations. I like the versatility of serving this with mushroom pizzas, soft cheeses, or meaty pasta. Produttori del Barbaresco was formed in 1958 by a priest in the Barbaresco village who discerned small properties would need to unite to survive. Hence, nineteen small growers founded the co-op. Today, 54 members control more than 100 hectares of premium nebbiolo vineyards in Barbaresco. Each family wholly owns their land, growing nebbiolo grapes with centuries-old skill and dedication. The winery produces a Barbaresco DOCG, a blend of nebbiolo grapes harvested from different vineyards, and a simpler Nebbiolo Langhe suited for earlier consumption. Nine single vineyard Barbarescos are made in outstanding vintages from nine premium sites within the Barbaresco village boundaries.Tasted: 03 November 2023Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
