Langhe, Cuneo, Piedmont, ItalyThis PdB nebbiolo is made with fruit harvested from young vineyards – championing the fresh early drinking style. Varietally correct nebbiolo at this price is an amazing thing. Floral, rose thorns, cherries, and light tobacco smoke from start to finish, with moderately raspy tannins and a sandpaper finish. Youthful still, best served with hearty mushroom dishes, charcuterie or even osso buco. The label bears the Langhe DOC appellation but it is made exactly as if it were a Barbaresco.
