Vietti Nebbiolo Perbacco 2019
Langhe, Cuneo, Piedmont, ItalyThis Langhe Nebbiolo comes off declassified cru sites and is aged for less than the minimum requirements, disqualifying it as Barolo DOCG. Its oldish 35-year-old vines offer an exciting mix of florals that percolate a red raspberry fruit flavour, elevated acidity, and stony mineral notes that blanket the finish. The tannins are firm but manageable, but the acidity, at the moment, needs tempering. We suggest a classic raw beef dish to pull it all together.
