Fort Berens Small Lot Dry Riesling 2022

Lillooet, British Columbia, CanadaFrom 2 older blocks in their Lillooet Dry Creek estate vineyard, this was partially native fermented in neutral oak, with the remainder destemmed and with 12 hours on skins, fermented cool in stainless. The wine rested 4 months on lees before bottling. Though this is called Dry, in contrast to the winery's classic Riesling, there is a bump of 3.2 g/L RS to offset the acidity. Perfumed cold cream, cool tangerine, creamsicle is shaped with a tart, racy acidity, finishing off with lemon sorbet on the snappy, bitter lime finish. Certainly leaner than its 13% suggests, enjoy this simple sleek white this summer.Tasted: 11 August 2023Tasted by: Prices:
