Fort Berens Red Gold Reserve 2020

Lillooet, British Columbia, Canada2020 marks the return of Red Gold after a three year absence. This cuvée is only made when the vintage portends a very high-quality wine. The Lillooet red is grown at the estate Dry Creek Vineyard. The blend is 67/33 cabernet franc/merlot, aged separately in French oak barrels. In the end, Red Gold 2020 was a selection of three barrels. At 13.2 percent alcohol, this is an elegant red with a juicy palate mixing dark blackberry, blueberry, and black currant with some earthy, floral, cigar box and chocolate underneath. Complex and youthful, this will only improve in the bottle through 2028.Tasted: 26 August 2023Tasted by: Prices:
