Craggy Range Pinot Noir Te Muna Road Vineyard 2018
Martinborough, Wairarapa, North Island, New ZealandThe 32 hectare, two-terraced Te Muna Road Vineyard is planted to eight individual clones of Pinot Noir over stony soils across 40 different parcels in Martinborough. Grapes are hand harvested, destemmed and fermented in open top oak tanks before maturing on lees in oak barriques. Despite a number of late season rain events, the 2018 pinot is showing extremely well. Expect a medium cherry colour followed by strong, savoury truffle and forest floor covered with a ripe, dark plum that is full flavoured, perfectly balanced, and insanely long through the finish. It is one of those bottles that disappears in an instant.Tasted: 16 August 2023Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $64.99 | 750ml | select private retailers |
