Unsworth Vineyards Pinot Noir Saison Vineyards 2021

Cowichan Valley, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, CanadaFrom Cowichan Valley's Saison Vineyard, and its marine silt loams, this pinot blends clones 115, 667, 777, and 828. All were destemmed and fermented whole berry in stainless before aging in French barriques (20% new) for 1 year. Fragrant and lifted wild strawberries, raspberries, pink florals sail through this lighter (12.3%) pinot, giving an air of finesse and elegance that stretches from first whiff through a lingering pink peppercorn finish. Tannins are slight and supple, hugging this bright red, and welcoming numerous food pairings (I'm voting wild salmon / wild mushrooms).Tasted: 08 January 2024Tasted by: Prices:
