Terravista Figaro 2021
British Columbia, CanadaFigaro is always a bit behind the other whites (currently 2022s), with its current release of 2021. This year it blends 75% roussanne and 25% viognier, leaving marsanne out of the mix. Viognier comes off Naramata Bench and the Similkameen, with Roussanne off a single vineyard in Oliver, and utilizing a mix of stainless and French barrels / puncheons, with 3 months' bâtonnage. There's a pronounced smokiness to the dense fruit here, with a smouldering stone underlying the ripe white peach, fragrant quince, pulpy lime, and spiced ginger.
