Blue Mountain Estate Cuvée Sauvignon Blanc 2022

Okanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaI revisited this over three days and it just kept getting better and better. At first pour, it's tightly wound and restrained, with white grapefruit, peach, and fresh herbs. I found the fruit got more expressive with time, and clearly this is a wine that will benefit from time in the cellar. What stands out is the texture: precise, linear, and chalky, with vibrant acidity that exemplifies the 2022 vintage. Sourced from 15-16 year old vines and harvested over two picks, this was fermented with ambient yeast and aged in a combination of stainless steel (25%), barriques (25%), and foudres (50%) for five months. A triumphant return for Blue Mountain after courageously skipping the 2021 vintage.Tasted: 23 July 2023Tasted by: Prices:
