River Stone Sauvignon Blanc 2022
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis is becoming a reliable cog in the growing BC sauvignon blanc category. The grapes are grown just North of Oliver on the cooler, west side of the valley, in sandy loam deposited during the last glaciation. It comes with less sweetness, and the tradeoff is a more versatile mouthwatering white you can serve with a variety of foods. Look for tropical aromatics mixed with herbal notes, pink grapefruit, melon, and passionfruit. Steamed mussels are the classic match, but I also like it with Dungeness crab cakes.Tasted: 12 June 2023Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $23.90 | 750ml | winery online/direct, select private retailers |
