Juxtaposed Wines Sherry Vineyard Old Vine Shiraz 2019

McLaren Vale, South Australia, AustraliaFrom the old block at Blewitt Springs' Sherry Vineyard, this was planted in 1955, and has been a backbone of Juxtaposed's Shiraz program over the past 5 years. Sadly, the vineyard sold, and this was the last vintage of this special wine. Deeply ferrous, this concentrated shiraz teems with black cherry, blackberry, anise, flake salts, and liquorice stretching across a rich, yet svelte palate. Tannins are well worn and sunken into the dense fruit, scented with blackberry blossoms, and seasoned with fine black pepper. For all its density, it carries an equal part of freshness, which will guarantee it a long life ahead. 1600 bottles.Tasted: 15 June 2023Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
