Penticton Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaShowing a pale salmon pink hue, this pinot noir rosé displays an appealing estery nose of fresh strawberries, raspberries, and hints of pear drop, interwoven with delicate notes of nutmeg spices. Somewhat weightier and rounder on the palate than anticipated, it offers a sense of richness, possibly attributed to a touch of residual sugar.Tasted: 09 August 2023Tasted by: Prices:
Penticton Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaChain Reaction is based on the Naramata Bench and owned for the owners' love of cycling. Joel and Linda Chamaschuk, originally from the Lower Mainland, finally decided to become part of the industry and purchased an orchard on the Bench, planting their first vineyard in 2019. Winemaker Dwight Sick oversees the wines. This Pinot Noir Rosé comes off their estate McMillan Vineyard, in Penticton. 75% was destemmed and crushed, with 12 hours skin contact. The other was lightly pressed, and the both were joined and fermented in stainless. The fermentation was stopped when the desired RS was achieved. Pouring a salmon pink, this glides along the glycerol-slicked palate along with ripe strawberry, watermelon, candied red apple, and light smoked spice. There's a gentle pink grapefruit twist to liven before the smoked spice returns on the gently buzzing finish. A creamier rosé, ready to tackle salmon / mushroom summer dishes.Tasted: 21 June 2023Tasted by: Prices:
