British Columbia, CanadaThis is the first vintage of Chain Reaction's rosé and it makes quite a statement. The nose is bursting with fruit, showing a combination of strawberry, tart red cherry, and citrus that's layered with spices. That fruit drives the palate, making this generous, round, and approachable but still dry and refreshing. It's exactly the style of rosé I want to drink in the summer. From Chain Reaction's estate McMillan Vineyard on the Naramata Bench, this pinot noir saw three hours of skin contact to get its medium pink hue.Tasted: 06 May 2022Tasted by: Prices:

British Columbia, CanadaThe Chain Reaction Rosé was three hours of skin contact followed by a 4-week fermentation in stainless steel. The pinot noir comes off McMillan Vineyard, from a highly lauded vintage. Winemaker Dwight Sick also oversees the wines made at nearby Moraine Winery. The colour comes with a peachy hue. The nose is intense, reminiscent of wild strawberries, and with a hint of orange and desert scrub. The finish is dry and salty with a stylish mineral kick. It is well suited to small bites before dinner, or the likes of spot prawns.Tasted: 22 February 2022Tasted by: Prices:

British Columbia, CanadaChain Reaction is a relatively new virtual winery based on the Naramata Bench, owned by Joel and Linda Chamaschuk and named for their love of cycling. Originally from the Lower Mainland, they've enjoyed BC wine since 1991 and finally decided to become part of the industry, purchasing an orchard on the Bench and planting their first vineyard in 2019. Well-known winemaker Dwight Sick oversees the wines made at nearby Moraine Winery. This destemmed pinot noir had 3 hours of skin contact, imparting the deep peach hue. After two days of chilling and settling, the fermentation was started in stainless, where it continued for a month. It remained there on lees for a short time until bottling. Juicy and lively, with wild strawberries, wild raspberries imbued with ample stony spice, dried sage, and flake salts across a silken palate. Friendly, charming, and smart, this is an excellent choice to crack into this summer.Tasted: 20 March 2022Tasted by: Prices:
