Wild Goose Red Horizon 2020

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaRed Horizon is a Bx blend with a twist, with Dunkelfelder including in the mix of merlot, petit verdot, cabernet sauvignon, malbec, and cabernet franc, all sourced from Oliver and Osoyoos. Each component was vinified and barrel aged separately for 16 months in a mix of 25% French, and 75% American oak, and then blended. Sweet, ripe black fruit leads, and campfire smoke follows on a silkened palate, with a bitter powdery tannin to frame. Needs an equally rustic stew to partner and tame.Tasted: 18 May 2023Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
