East Kelowna Slopes, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis, their flagship riesling was picked over a few weeks across a number of estate (2005 and 2009 planted) plus East Kelowna grower blocks. All were whole bunch pressed, inoculated, and fermented cool-ish and long in stainless until the desired RS (15 g/L) was achieved. Juicy and mouthwatering, with pulpy lime, pithy pink grapefruit, crunchy green apple on the bright, off-dry, medium palate. Though lacking the definition of previous vintages, this is a fantastic result from an incredibly trying 2022 season.Tasted: 11 August 2023Tasted by: Prices:

East Kelowna Slopes, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaAt 12.9 percent alcohol and 14.7 g/L of residual sugar, the latest Tantalus Riesling is all you could want for the price. Year after year, it presents a nervy mix of peaches and lemon pith with a squeeze of green apple and wild flowers on wet stones and orange peels. Long, complex, and electric, it is a wine for the ages. One you can drink now or twenty years from now. Riesling thrives in the north Okanagan, and in the cool years, it transcends itself. Winter hasn’t been kind to this vineyard, but I hope it has something reserved from four+ decades of existence that will allow it to return stronger than ever.Tasted: 05 May 2023Tasted by: Prices:
