Tantalus Riesling 2008
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaRetasted three months after the first sample showed so much sulphur and struck matchstick - it may have been sent right off the bottling wine. This sample has reverted back to form with its lip smacking, tart fresh citrus and green apple flavours and dry finish. Very avante garde for North American riesling but the only way to go if BC is going to be taken seriously as a riesling producer. Try this with oysters or Indian food both will work.Tasted: 25 August 2009Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $23.00 | 750ml | winery direct, VQA and private wine shops |
