Painted Rock Rosé 2022
Skaha Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaRosé is not a focus at Painted Rock, although I’m guessing it still sells out every year. Look for a pinkish orange colour thanks to a broad mix of grapes in the bottle: 47% merlot, 24% malbec, 11% cabernet franc, 9% petit verdot, 9% cabernet sauvignon. The styling is elegant, with a savoury pink grapefruit attack and a spice touch. The fruit is on the ripe side, but the finish is tart and has a touch of rhubarb.
