Bartier Bros. Chardonnay 2022
Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis year's BB Chardonnay removes Cerqueira Vineyard from the label, but the fruit all still comes off the Black Sage Terrace and its calcium carbonate laced sandy loams. It was whole cluster pressed and fermented in stainless, where it remained for 4 months post ferment and racking, on lees. Creamy and bright with orchard blossoms, crunchy yellow apple, white peach, Asian pear over a lemon-curd slicked palate. The soils and stainless help preserve some freshness, white the ripe fruit reflects the warm southern Okanagan.
